BX Bunka Australia, specifically Steel-Line Garage Doors is looking for a competent individual to fill the role of a Service Technician on a permanent, full-time basis. Working out of our Townsville office, the successful incumbent will need to possess the following;

Requirements:

  • Having skills with Service/ Technical / Electrical exposure/ experience would be advantageous.

  • Hold a current valid driver’s license.

  • Requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, and setting of priorities

  • Required to exercise good time management.

  • Requires interpersonal skills.

  • Should possess sound coordination and communication skills.

  • Computer skills are essential.

  • Previous experience within the garage door industry preferable but not essential.

  • Drivers ‘C' Class License.

  • Ability to use a variety of power tools.


Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, co-operative, customer-focused attitude at all times with emphasis on portraying willingness to help.

  • Ensure that the quality-of-service work done meets the company’s required standards as defined.

  • Take responsibility for prompt follow-through and customer feed-back on all service issues that fall into the scope of this role.

  • Advise Management of any customer complaints. 

  • Process paperwork daily, this includes daily run sheets. 

  • Carry out high quality service work in a professional and safe manner whilst being courteous and polite at all times.

  • Project adjustment on site where required to promote and sell company product.

  • Ensure 100% accuracy of paperwork before forwarding to the branch.

  • Prioritise all appointments to ensure completion within given timeframes.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Follow all WH&S guidelines and procedures and inform HR of any hazards or incidents relating to your duties and your own safety.

  • Read and understand company policy and procedures manuals including the OHSE Management plan.

  • Wear and maintain the company uniform whilst on duty.

  • Keep a high standard of company protocol to ensure the company’s image is maintained.

  • Maintain the company vehicle and ensure it is kept in a clean and tidy manner to promote company services.

  • On completion of job ensure work area is left in a clean and tidy manner as was on arrival.

  • Avoid damage to products where possible. Advise the branch immediately of any accidents or damage to any persons or property.

  • Vehicle maintenance servicing to be up to date according to company vehicle policy.

  • Perform other reasonable duties as required by your manager.
