About the Role
As a Service Manager you’ll be a key frontline leader responsible for ensuring safe, effective and person-centered supports are delivered under the NDIS. This role is part of the Supervision and Frontline Management stream under the NDIS Workforce Capability Framework and involves supervising support workers, coordinating rosters, liaising with stakeholders and ensuring quality outcomes for participants.
You’ll act as a vital link between staff and management while upholding participant rights, safety and wellbeing.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Oversee rostering, intake and staff allocation for participants.
Supervise and coach support workers, ensuring best practice approaches.
Attend stakeholder meetings and build strong community, clinical and NDIS relationships.
Respond to participant feedback and changes in needs or environment.
Monitor and support staff to uphold the Child Safe Standards and NDIS Code of Conduct.
Review and guide staff practices using a positive, strengths-based approach.
Ensure timely documentation including care plans, incident reports and risk assessments.
Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
Support participants to understand and implement their NDIS plans.
Identify and manage risks, including early indicators of stress or burnout in staff.
🔹 What You’ll Bring
Essential
Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant experience in the disability or NDIS sector.
Sound knowledge of the NDIS Price Guide, SIL quoting and participant planning processes.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Completion of the NDIS Induction Module.
Valid driver’s licence.
Experience coordinating NDIS services and leading staff teams.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills.
Proficient in MS Office and digital systems.
Highly Regarded
Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including CALD, First Nations or LGBTIQA+ communities.
Understanding of restrictive practices, participant rights and trauma-informed care.
Familiarity with the NDIS Practice Standards and Workforce Capability Framework.
